When asked to pick a favourite season, I always struggle to give a straight answer. To me, it’s like choosing a favourite cousin or the destination I love the most – impossible.
Fall means the rustling of yellow-hued leaves beneath my feet, winter is drinking a cup of hot chocolate in front of a burning fireplace, spring makes me think of teacup-sized bunnies and pink blossoms… But only summer brings back memories of dancing on the beach way past midnight, looking up at the stars and drifting off to galaxies built on love and anticipation.
It’s moments like those which make me feel most in tune with myself and most aware of who I want to become, which is why knowing that summer is near always brings a smile to my face. Out with the rain, in with the sunshine. That is why I was delighted when Yumi contacted me, asking if I would like to be part of their #Yumi30DaysOfSummer campaign and put together the ultimate summer outfit using their lovely designs.
Luckily for me, they had everything I needed to put together my winning combo. A coral pink dress with a flowy skirt that I can twirl in all night long? Check. A statement necklace? Check. A fun lightweight blazer that I can just drape over my shoulders when the night gets cold? Check.
The blazer especially was right up my street – I really enjoyed the flattering waterfall cut, but what I liked the most was the print. Beautiful colourful stamps from all over the world? Can you think of anything that would be a better addition to the closet of “Girl vs Globe”? I didn’t think so…

Before I sign off, I’d like to ask for your help with something. As I feature more and more outfit posts on my blog and slowly transition from a travel blogger into a travel-fashion-and-lifestyle blogger, I’m looking for a way to distinguish between those different categories. How would you like me to title my outfit posts so that you can easily distinguish them from a travel or food guide?
What is your ultimate summer outfit? Do you love flowing maxi dresses and heels
or denim shorts with sandals? And where would you wear your perfect outfit?
